The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car: A Dream Come True for Driving Fans

Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car is more than just a new addition to the world of motorsport. It is a game-changer for human driving enthusiasts who want to experience the thrill and challenge of racing at the highest level. Based on the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse, the GT3 version is a factory-backed race car that will compete in the global FIA GT3 category, including some of the world's most prestigious and competitive series. Here are some of the reasons why you should be excited about this car and what it represents for human driving.

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car Is Fast and Furious

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car is not your average pony car. It is a beast that has been extensively modified to meet the FIA GT3 regulations and to deliver maximum performance on the track. It features a 5.4-liter V8 engine that produces over 500 horsepower and is based on the new 5.0-liter Coyote engine that powers the Mustang Dark Horse. The engine has been developed by Ford Performance and M-Sport, a renowned motorsport engineering company that has worked with Ford on various projects, including the Ford Fiesta WRC and the Ford GT Le Mans.

The engine is paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters that allows for quick and precise shifts. The gearbox is rear-mounted to improve weight distribution and balance. The car also has a race-tuned suspension that enhances handling and stability. The suspension uses an unequal-length double-wishbone setup that is bespoke for the GT3 car. The car also has a Brembo brake system that ensures optimal stopping power and durability. The brake system features six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston calipers at the rear, as well as ventilated discs and anti-lock braking system (ABS).

The car also has carbon fiber bodywork that reduces weight and improves aerodynamics. Ford Performance has crafted the bodywork in partnership with Multimatic, a Canadian company that specializes in advanced vehicle dynamics and composite technologies. Multimatic will also help build and support the race cars, as well as manage the factory team that will compete in IMSA's GTD Pro Class. The bodywork features a large front splitter, a rear diffuser, a rear wing, and various cutouts for improved airflow and cooling. The wing has a swan-neck design that sprouts from the roofline rather than the decklid, which reduces drag and increases downforce.

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car Is Beautiful and Iconic

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car is not only fast but also beautiful. It retains the distinctive silhouette and styling cues of the Ford Mustang but with a more aggressive and muscular look. It sports a livery that pays homage to the heritage and legacy of the Mustang in racing and the human spirit of freedom, creativity, challenge, and fun. The livery has been designed by Troy Lee, one of the top motorsport designers in the world, who has worked with various teams and drivers across different disciplines, including NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula 1, MotoGP, Supercross, and more.

The livery features bright colors and geometric patterns that contrast with the black carbon fiber background. It also features the new Ford Performance logo, which has been simplified and modernized to reflect the brand's vision and values. The logo will be used on all of Ford Performance's racing creations, advertisements, and merchandise. The livery also features the iconic tri-bar taillights, the pony badge on the grille, and the number 21 on the doors, which is a tribute to the legendary driver Parnelli Jones, who won the Trans-Am championship in 1970 with a Boss 302 Mustang.

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car Is Around $500,000

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car is not just a car for professional drivers but also for enthusiasts who want to experience the thrill of human driving at its finest. Ford Performance offers a customer racing program that allows anyone with enough passion and budget to buy and race their own Mustang GT3. The price of the car is estimated at around $500,000, which may seem steep, but it is actually competitive compared to other GT3 cars on the market. A Lamborghini Huracan GT3 costs around $600,000, while a Porsche 911 GT3 R costs around $700,000.

Ford Performance also provides technical support, spare parts, training, and access to exclusive events for its customers. Sales and service for this vehicle will be managed by Multimatic, which has a wealth of experience and expertise in customer racing. Ownership inquiries may be directed to them through the Ford website. However, availability is very limited, so interested buyers should act fast before the car is gone in a blur.

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car Is a Symbol and a Statement

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car is more than just a car. It is a symbol of human driving in an era where autonomous vehicles are becoming more prevalent and dominant. It is a reminder that driving is not just a means of transportation but also an art, a skill, a passion, and a way of life. It is a celebration of the human spirit, freedom, creativity, challenge, and fun.

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car is also a statement that human driving is not dead, is alive and well, and can compete with the best of the best in the world of motorsport. The car will make its debut at the 2024 Rolex 24 at Daytona and then race in various series around the globe, including the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car will face fierce competition from other GT3 cars from brands such as Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. But the car will also have the support and admiration of millions of fans who love the Mustang and what it stands for.

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car is the ultimate expression of human driving. And I can't wait to see it in action.
