Lancia Concept: A Vision of Eclectic and Sustainable Italian Design

However, in recent years, the brand has been reduced to a single model, the Lancia Ypsilon, which is only sold in Italy. Many fans feared that Lancia would disappear altogether, as its parent company Stellantis focused on other brands.

But there is hope for Lancia lovers. On April 15, the brand will unveil a new concept car that will showcase its vision for the next decade. The Lancia Concept is a 100% electric coupe that combines design elements from the past with futuristic technology and sustainability. The Lancia Concept is a prototype and a manifesto representing the brand's new identity and values.

The Lancia Concept is based on the Pu+Ra Zero sculpture, which was presented last November during the Lancia Design Day. The Pu+Ra Zero was a three-dimensional expression of Lancia's new design language, which is inspired by pure and radical geometric shapes. The Lancia Concept translates this language into a functional and emotional vehicle that pays homage to Lancia's heritage while looking ahead to its future.

One of the most striking features of the Lancia Concept is its circular roof, which guarantees a panoramic view and maximizes natural light. The circular roof recalls the primitive geometric shapes typical of Lancia's design and fits perfectly with the sensual lines of the lateral sides. The roof also contrasts with the sharp edges and angles of the front and rear ends, giving the car a dynamic and sporty look.

The rear end of the Lancia Concept is especially reminiscent of the iconic Stratos, one of Lancia's most successful and beloved models. The round taillights have a hollow interior and flank the new Lancia lettering featuring an original and distinctive font inspired by the fashion world. The short rear deck with the small spoiler and sharp lines also evokes the Stratos' rally car heritage.

The interior of the Lancia Concept is equally impressive and innovative. The car recreates the interiors and atmosphere of Italian homes through the use of pure and radical geometric shapes: an original coffee table, an eclectic carpet, and seats inspired by the iconic Cassina armchairs. Cassina is a renowned Italian furniture company that collaborated with Lancia to create a cozy and sophisticated living space inside the car.
